Everton announced the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as the club’s new manager on Saturday, with the experienced Italian taking charge at Goodison Park on a four-and-a-half year deal.

Ancelotti will attend Saturday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal, but will not take charge until the Boxing Day visit of Burnley.

The former Bayern Munich and Chelsea Manager had been linked to the club since he was sacked by Napoli earlier this month.

During a stint in England between 2009 until 2011 with Chelsea, Ancelotti won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Community Shield. He has also lifted three Champions League trophies over the course of his managerial career.
